I can’t use Virtualbox with network mode : Host-only Adapter because the interface vboxnet0 is not created. I think this is something related to dkms , and if i go from virtualbox menu to File-> Preferences-> Network and try to ad host-only interface i get the following : Failed to create the host-only network interface. Failed to execute ‘VBoxNetAdpCtl add’ (exit status: 768).

Ok, I’ve narrowed my distro choice down to two: Ubuntu 10.04 and Linux Mint 9. I hear Linux mint is based heavily on Ubuntu, and the two are very similar. I am leaning towards installing both, but if they are basically the same, would that just be a waste of HD, or would I end up never using one of them

I installed ubuntu Lucid on my tx2000 laptop. When the system is ready to log ask for the login the screen is blank. If I start to press some + +f1 (I see the classic shell login) then I press + +f7 I can see the regular graphic login and I can start to use my ubuntu.
