I have successfully installed MySQL Cluster 7.1.4b on a few servers for testing. I have the NDBD nodes connected to the Management Server, and the MySQL API’s connected to the Management Server. So far everything works very well

Published at LXer: This was something pretty much obvious, but now Mark Shuttleworth confirmed it: the Unity panel won’t allow any kind of customizations. That means not only that you won’t be able to add/edit applets like in Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.04 (which could be easily “fixed”), but the user won’t even be able to right click the applets to move them or whatever – nothing will happen upon right-clicking.

Hi! I would like to know if there is any way to avoid start, or start/stop a service-package (like mysql or vsftpd, etc) when it is installed (or upgraded). For example; we have a machine with mysql. I don’t want it starts when it is installed, because I would like to start with a configuration file made for us.
