Hi, how can I set my linux server that it logs-in the main user at startup? I would like to be able to make a restart remotely and be able to connect to the server again afterwards.

Please follow these instructions grabbed from this link: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GrubHowto If you need to get into the grub menu to modify boot options or choose a different kernel, you need to press ‘ESC’ just after it starts. By default you have to press ‘ESC’ within three seconds. If you want to increase this time limit, you can edit the grub configuration file /boot/grub/ menu.lst , increasing the seconds in the TIMEOUT part

Now the beginning of the script is as follows: $ head -15 scripts/suspend2ram.sh Code: #!/bin/sh date > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log echo “Myth processes before suspend:” > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log ps -e | grep myth > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log ps -e | grep CCcam > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log ps -e | grep sasc > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log echo “Stopping backend…” > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log sudo stop mythtv-backend echo “Backend should not show now in ps:” > > /home/jykke/scripts/beforesuspend.log for shutdown command I have in mythwelcome “sudo suspendscript.sh” All that happens is More >
